Johnny Got His Gun is the story of Joe Bonham, a young soldier who is severly wounded in battle. He wakes up in an army hospital
and discovers he is deaf and blind. From there he has several flashbacks from his childhood until he leaves for war.
Inbetween flashbacks, he discovers new injuries and ends up deaf, blind, and limbless (no arms or legs). In his flashbacks,
he works through his problems to avoid sanity. Joe then works on comunicating with others in order to leave the
hopital and tell the cruelties of war. Even though he's basically dead, he still mananges to get some "action".
After all his attempts fail, he realizes that the army will never let him tell his story beacause of the damaging effect
to the army recruits it would have.
